ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida’s famous theme parks and attractions are set to reopen, most of them as soon as Friday, following Hurricane Milton’s crossing of the Sunshine State.

Walt Disney World
Disney’s Central Florida theme parks, as well as Disney Springs and “possibly other areas,” are scheduled to reopen Friday, Oct. 11.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was canceled Thursday and event tickets will thus be refunded. For partially used multi-day tickets, ticket expiration dates will be adjusted to expire on Oct. 11, 2025.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa remain temporarily closed. The company suggested earlier this week they are likely to remain closed through Sunday, Oct. 13, though no official timeline has been set.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf and Winter Summerland Miniature Golf were closed through Thursday, Oct. 10, and relevant reopening dates have not been announced. Meanwhile, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park remains closed for planned refurbishment and is expected to reopen on Nov. 4.
Disney will continue to operate certain dining locations for guests staying at the Disney Resorts. For the latest details on times and locations, click here.

Universal Orlando Resort
Universal’s Central Florida theme parks are set to reopen Friday, Oct. 11, along with Volcano Bay and CityWalk.
- Universal Studios Florida: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Universal Islands of Adventure: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Universal Volcano Bay: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- CityWalk: 8 a.m. - 1 a.m.
Guests who had tickets to visit Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure on Thursday, Oct. 10 — or Volcano Bay on Oct. 9 or Oct. 10 — will be allowed to use their ticket to visit any day through Dec. 18. Such guests must proceed directly to the entrance gate on the date of their choosing and present their ticket for admission.
The same policy applies to guests who purchased Halloween Horror Nights tickets for either Oct. 9 or Oct. 10, when the parks were closed.
For guests who booked a Volcano Bay cabana or Marvel Character Dinner reservation for Thursday, Oct. 10, a Universal Orlando team member will reach out to reschedule their visits.
Guests can modify existing hotel reservations or vacation packages booked through Universal Parks and Resorts by calling 800-711-0080.
SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica and Discovery Cove
SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica and Discovery Cove reopen Friday, Oct. 11, but SeaWorld Spooktacular and Howl-O-Scream will be canceled that day.
Following Hurricane Milton, we will resume normal operations at SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove in Orlando on Friday, October 11.
Spooktacular and Howl-O-Scream are cancelled on Friday.

SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando offers a “Weather-or-Not Assurance” policy.
If extreme weather impacts their experience in the park or impacts their flight plans for an upcoming visit, SeaWorld invites them back within 12 months – at no extra charge for park admission.
Legoland Florida
Legoland Florida is back open Friday, Oct. 11, for its regular operating hours.
Guests may reschedule or cancel their visit in light of Hurricane Milton if their scheduled arrival date falls within seven days of the National Hurricane Center issuing a tropical storm or hurricane warning for the Central Florida area.
Read the theme park’s hurricane policy for more specifics, such as how it cautions that those whose travel plans were arranged by a third party are responsible for any nonrefundable payments charged by said suppliers.
Brevard Zoo
The Brevard Zoo is back open starting Friday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m.
Some experiences may not be available due to the storm, according to the zoo’s website.
Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens
Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 9 a.m.
“All the animals and our staff remained safe throughout the storm.
Zoo Boo Bash, which was scheduled to start this weekend, will kick off next weekend, Oct. 19-20 and the celebration will continue 26-27.”
Fun Spot
Fun Spot America’s Orlando and Kissimmee parks reopened Thursday, Oct. 10.
“We’ll be opening in a hybrid format, with most rides and attractions ready for you to enjoy,” said John Arie, Jr., owner and CEO of Fun Spot America Theme Parks. “The majority of our food stands will be open to serve family favorites.”
Gatorland
Gatorland is scheduled to reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, for the first weekend of its Gators, Ghosts and Goblins Halloween event.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will reopen Saturday, Oct. 12, with all attractions, exhibits and programs — as well as the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour — expected to follow regular operating hours from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Orlando Science Center
The Orlando Science Center reopens Friday, Oct. 11, for normal hours of operation.
Harry P. Leu Gardens
Harry P. Leu Gardens said Thursday on social media that although it would remain closed Friday, Oct. 11, the goal is to be back open for Happy Frights Haunting Nights on the following Friday, Oct. 18.
ICON Park
ICON Park on Thursday, Oct. 10, said it had power and that some tenants were set to reopen in the coming days.
Brother Jimmy’s BBQ and Tin Roof opened Thursday afternoon while more attractions, including Museum of Illusions Orlando, were expected to reopen starting Friday, Oct. 11.
Further specifics, though not immediately available, were promised on ICON Park’s website.
