Police said the victim was a 37-year-old woman. Her name has not been released. The blue 2011 Volkswagen is believed to have exited the parking lot of Cape Canaveral Hospital and pulled onto State Road 520 around 10 p.m. when the crash occurred, records show. Beach ranger Don Dysert located the 59-year-old woman at the east end of Minutemen Causeway after she had been reported missing Saturday morning, authorities said. The woman, who reportedly suffers from dementia, was unharmed and was reunited safely with her family, authorities said.

A Florida man is behind bars after he called his probation officer and threatened to blow up the probations office, according to the Cocoa Beach Police Department. At that point, the probation officer who received the call notified his supervisor and the office was evacuated due to the threat. Christian was scheduled to appear at the probations office that day for a routine drug test but did not show. Officers called Christian and requested that he meet them at his home along Carolina Avenue in reference to him missing his probation appointment. Christian was arrested on charges of the false report of a bomb and violation of probation, Brevard County Jail records show.
