The fast-food chain is now offering avocado toast. This brunch favorite is made with avocado, sea salt, black pepper and lemon juice. It comes on sourdough bread with a sprinkle of “everything but the bagel” seasoning. Dunkin’ is also releasing a spin on some classics with its new grilled cheese melt and grilled cheese melt with ham. AdBoth are served on Dunkin’s sourdough bread with white cheddar and American cheese.

NEW YORK – Dunkin’ doughnuts and coffee is being combined with Buffalo Wild Wings and Arby's sandwiches. Inspire Brands Inc. said Friday that it is acquiring Dunkin' Brands Group Inc. for $11.3 billion, including the Dunkin’ Brands’ debt that Inspire will be taking on. The private-equity firm will pay $106.50 in cash for all of Dunkin' Brands' shares, which closed Friday at $99.71. Dunkin' Brands' stock surged to an all-time high earlier this week after the company confirmed the two were in merger talks. In addition to Buffalo Wild Wings and Arby's, it owns the Sonic burger chain, Jimmy John's restaurants and Rusty Taco.

The Dunkin’ doughnuts and coffee chain has confirmed it's held talks to be taken private by a private equity firm, sending its shares rocketing to an all-time high Monday. Dunkin’ Brands Group said it’s in preliminary discussions with Inspire Brands, which also owns Arby’s and Jimmy John’s Sandwiches. Dunkin’ shares jumped $14.31, or 16.1% to close Monday at $103.10. Dunkin’ Brands revenue fell 20% in the second quarter, and the company said franchisees closed 200 restaurants permanently. Dunkin’ Brands reported full-year sales of $1.4 billion in 2019, up 4% from the previous year.

There will also be pumpkin-flavored coffees, along with apple cider, pumpkin and maple sugar-flavored donuts and munchkins doughnut holes.

Dunkin is permanently closing about 800 locations in the U.S, about 8% of its restaurants. The company detailed the changes Thursday in its quarterly earnings report, describing the closures as real estate portfolio rationalizations.A Dunkin official said the locations have low sales volume and represented 2% of its U.S. sales last year. More than half of the closures are in Speedway convenience stores, a change Dunkin' previously announced in February. The company also said it may permanently close about 350 locations outside the U.S.

Dunkin' franchise operators will be adding 25,000 jobs as restaurants start to re-open in the U.S. The breakfast and coffee chain announced Monday that its franchisees are looking to fill a range of positions, including management roles. Dunkin' launched an ad campaign on Monday to support recruiting efforts. It's also partnering with Southern New Hampshire University on an online education program for franchise employees. Dunkin jumped about 2% during trading hours on Monday.

Dunkin’ is bringing back its popular coffee flavors inspired by the iconic Girl Scout Cookies. The flavors are to celebrate the Girl Scout Cookie season which starts nationally in January. Coconut Caramel and Thin Mints are the two flavors that will be available starting Jan. 1. Thin Mint features the classic combination of cool mint and chocolate while Coconut Caramel is a mixture of toasted coconut and creamy caramel. “Girl Scout Cookie season is as welcomed and anticipated as the ball dropping on New Year’s Eve, and we’re thrilled to celebrate by bringing two smile-eliciting Girl Scout Cookie inspired flavors back to guests’ coffees in 2020,” said Patty Healy, Dunkin’s senior director of integrated marketing, in a press release.
