The Florida Highway Patrol said the 30-year-old woman was crossing International Speedway Boulevard near Red John Drive at about 6:45 a.m. but ran back into the road to pick up an item sheโd dropped. She said since the shelter opened at 3889 W. International Speedway Blvd. Itโs past time to provide a safe way for residents to commute safely,โ Fahlberg said. She added that sheโs been advocating for a bus stop to be added closer to the shelter.
