On the forecast track, the center of Teddy should move closer to the northwestern Newfoundland coast tonight and into the Labrador Sea on Thursday before merging with a larger extratropical low. By the Sea, Newfoundland (near the Cow Head Lighthouse) reported a barometric pressure of 979 mb (28.91 inches). SURF: Large swells generated by Teddy are affecting Bermuda, the Lesser Antilles, the Greater Antilles, the Bahamas, the east coast of the United States, and Atlantic Canada. WIND: Gusty winds are possible along the western coast of Newfoundland tonight.

On Wednesday in Central Florida, its all about the heat before a few storms roll in late in the afternoon. Tuesdays record high was 99 set in 1924. On June 24, the record high is 100 degrees set in 1944. Central Florida actually has a surplus since the beginning of June with 4.56 inches of rain.

The National Hurricane Center upgraded the storm from a subtropical depression Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. as it swirled toward Nova Scotia. The latest NHC advisory says the storm has maximum sustained winds around 45 mph with higher gusts as it spins off the northeast coast of the United States. It is not expected to impact Florida. The system is expected to become a post-tropical storm Wednesday, according to the NHC.

Will the great white shark stay in Brevard waters through Christmas? The shark advocacy and research group notes Ironbound as its 53rd great white shark "spot-tagged" in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean. Last month, a 12-foot, 2-inch great white shark named Sydney pinged at 11:25 a.m. Nov. 13 off Canaveral National Seashore. He was the first great white shark tagged by Ocearch during its Nova Scotia expedition in fall 2019, according to the shark advocacy group.
