Brevard Public Schools shared pictures inside its supply warehouse with pallets of masks, gloves, wipes, hand sanitizer and more personal protective equipment that the district said is headed to every school by Friday. The district said to this point, all schools have at least received some of the personal protective equipment and supplies theyve ordered. Fearing the district's supplies might not have made it before the first day, the Brevard County teachers union said it ordered its own PPE for teachers. A new video from Rockledge High School shows what the teachers union calls the ideal classroom for the start of the new year. The Brevard Federation of Teachers video showed hand sanitizer, wipes, masks, Plexiglas, and spacing between desks. The union said the classroom makes them feel confident about teachers safely coming back to schools Monday and their students in another two weeks. The teachers union does not think every classroom will meet the guidelines as well as the one in its video does. School board members will meet Tuesday morning to discuss creating standards for judging how to know if schools are staying safe.

According to a news release, a student reported a weapon on campus after seeing a ROTC student carrying a wooden rifle, which is used to practice drills and formations. Officials said the ROTC student was located off-campus with the drill rifle and will not be facing any charges. School district officials sent out a release to parents to notify them of the incident. Message sent to Rockledge High School parents (WKMG)Rockledge High School was cleared to resume normal school operations just before 10 a.m., authorities said.

Suspensions are allowed under School Board policy when a student's actions are illegal or violate board policy or school rules. In his statement to parents, Clark condemned the language in the video.
