DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – One driver was killed and another was injured Wednesday morning in a fiery head-on crash in Volusia County, fire officials said.
The crash was reported around 6:20 a.m. on Tomoka Farms Road at Dunn Avenue, south of LPGA Boulevard in Daytona Beach. Tomoka Farms Road is closed in the area.

The Daytona Beach Fire Department said two pickup trucks were traveling in different directions on Tomoka Farms Road when the southbound driver swerved into the northbound lane and crashed into the other pickup.
The southbound pickup caught fire and the driver, identified Friday as 55-year-old Karen Suzanne Frentz-Liberty, of Bunnell, died, fire officials said.
The northbound driver,Joe Juhasz, 19, of Ormond Beach, was able to escape his pickup. Juhasz suffered injuries to his leg and back and was taken to a hospital for treatment, fire officials said.
