ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – A pedestrian was stuck and killed Wednesday morning in Ormond Beach, police said.

Officials said Friday that Jeffrey Allen Bates, 53, of Daytona Beach, died in the crash, which was reported on Granada Boulevard near Interstate 95.

Ormond Beach police said a silver Ford SUV in the eastbound right turn lane struck Bates, who was crossing the street but was not in a crosswalk.

Bates was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No other details have been released.
