OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A 1-month-old boy was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash on the Florida Turnpike in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal wreck was reported at 6:35 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the turnpike near mile marker 214.

According to an FHP crash report, a semitrailer was stopped in the southbound lanes due to another accident when a man driving a car, 38, failed to stop for an unknown reason as he approached the halted vehicle.
The car struck the rear of the semitrailer and a 1-month-old baby, sitting in the lap of a 41-year-old passenger, was ejected from the vehicle, the report continues.
The baby was pronounced dead on the scene, the FHP said.
According to the FHP, the driver and passenger in the car were also seriously and critically injured, respectively.
