Kissimmee man, 69, killed after motorcycle crashes into parked car

FHP investigates fatal wreck near Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 69-year-old Kissimmee man was killed Tuesday afternoon when his motorcycle rear-ended a parked car on the shoulder of an Orange County road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck happened around 5:40 p.m. on Sailfish Street near Kingfish Street near Orlando.

The FHP said the man was driving a Honda motorcycle north on Sailfish Street and failed to observe a blue Honda CR-V that was parked on the shoulder.

The right front of the bike struck the front of the car, causing the motorcyclist to be thrown to the ground, the FHP said.

The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the FHP.
