The FHP said the man was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition west on Jay Jay Road and made an abrupt left turn into a gravel parking lot.

The driver lost control of the SUV and struck a sign before the vehicle overturned and crashed into a tree, ejecting the man, the FHP said.

The driver was taken to Parrish Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, troopers said.
