ORLANDO, Fla. – A 73-year-old New York man was struck and killed late Wednesday while trying to cross a road in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal wreck happened on Michigan Street near Brown Avenue.

The FHP said a 45-year-old Orlando man was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse west on Michigan Street when the man, who was not in a crosswalk, entered his path.
The SUV hit the man, who was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died, according to troopers.
The driver, who was not hurt, remained at the scene, the FHP said.
No other details have been released.
