DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – All sports present some level of danger. When it comes to professional racing, it’s just a matter of time when something happens.
I’ve been spending some time recently over at Daytona International Speedway going through the many levels of safety and mitigation that take place in order to keep fans, crews and drivers safe.
For Wednesday’s Trooper Steve on Patrol, we hoped to see a track services team respond and assist in a crash situation at Daytona International Speedway.
These crews come from multiple different sectors, some being privately owned and others government agencies. They come together as one to form a cohesive response team.
