ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Altamonte Springs killed one person and forced the closure of Maitland Boulevard outside Lake Lotus Park, according to police.
The crash was reported at Lake Lotus Park Road and Maitland Boulevard.
The Altamonte Springs Police Department said in a statement around 7:30 a.m. that the westbound lanes of Maitland Boulevard would remain shut down at Magnolia Homes Road for around two hours as traffic was redirected to 434 (Forest City Road). Police reported before 3 p.m. that the scene had been cleared.
Police described the person who died as the “at fault driver,” adding there were no other injuries.
