ORLANDO, Fla. – A pursuit involving a vehicle suspected in a home burglary in Seminole County ended in a crash in Orange County that sent four people to the hospital, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called at 1:15 p.m. to a burglary of an occupied residence in Chuluota.
According to an arrest report, the victim told deputies she was in her living room when she heard a loud bang from the front door area. When she ran over, she saw her door had been kicked in and two people wearing masks inside the home, the report said.
“The suspects ran out of the house once they were confronted, and the victim ran after the suspects, and she was able to take a picture of their car as she saw all four car doors closing,” the arrest report reads.
Authorities said Seminole County sheriff’s deputies pursued the vehicle and called FHP for assistance.
The FHP said troopers joined the pursuit, which ended in a crash at 2:15 p.m. on Shader Road when a trooper attempted a PIT maneuver and the suspects’ vehicle crashed into a fence.
Four people in the vehicle were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, said the FHP, adding that two suffered serious injuries and two had minor injuries.
Miesha Lesha Hardy, 28; Brittney Teeona Johnson, 31; Solodien Malik Johnson, 40; and Johnny Jabbar Talton, 38, were inside the vehicle that crashed, according to the report.
The FHP said the four will face charges of fleeing and eluding and reckless driving.
