APOPKA, Fla. – Jaw-dropping. Illegal. Reckless. Dangerous.

Those are the words the Orange County Sheriff’s Office used Friday to describe a driver who they said was clocked traveling at 108 mph in a 45 mph zone.

The incident happened on Rock Springs Road in Apopka.

“Thankfully, our Motor Unit was there to stop this reckless behavior before it led to tragedy,” OCSO posted on X.

Deputies on Tuesday said the driver was issued a citation but was not arrested. No other details about the traffic stop were released.

OCSO used the incident to warn drivers, saying, “Speeding isn’t just illegal; it’s dangerous. Slow down. Drive responsibly.”
