The FHP said a 46-year-old Crystal River woman was driving a 2020 Ram 1500 and attempted to make a left turn onto U.S. 17 but failed to yield to a 2007 Harley-Davidson, which collided with the left front of the pickup.

The driver of the bike, a 57-year-old Holly Hill man, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. The passenger on the motorcycle, a 53-year-old Jacksonville woman, was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center and was pronounced dead, the FHP said.

The driver of the pickup and her passenger, an 11-year-old boy, were not injured and stayed at the scene, according to troopers.

The crash is under investigation.
