ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An 18-year-old man was killed Monday night in Orange County when his vehicle went off the road and struck a utility pole, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 10:20 p.m. on Rock Springs Road near Ponkan Road

According to a crash report, the Apopka man was driving south on Rock Springs Road when he over-corrected and traveled across the southbound lanes and onto a sidewalk. The vehicle, a 2014 Infiniti Q50, struck a utility pole and then traveled back into the southbound lane.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation is ongoing.
