The I-4 Ultimate project has reached another major milestone by unveiling the Grand National Drive overpass Wednesday.
The overpass connects Oak Ridge Road and the International Drive area to the Major Boulevard and Caravan Court area to help ease congestion on Kirkman Road.
It is expected to have 1,000 cars use it per hour to help with congestion. The new overpass has improvements for pedestrians, giving them an easier way to access the attractions, retail and lodging.
The Big Drive is a seven-year, $2 billion construction project on a 21-mile stretch of I-4 through Central Florida.
