A strong cold front is expected to bring dramatically colder air, gusty winds, and high surf to Central Florida overnight Sunday into Monday.
What was once supposed to bring us some more much needed rain has come together as another dry push of colder temps. These cold temperatures will be in for only a brief hello and goodnight before warmth returns across our area, and it could actually remain this way through to saying Merry Christmas.
Central Florida is set for a warm weekend, but a cold front arriving Sunday is expected to bring a sharp drop in temperatures and breezy conditions.
A very active weather pattern is going to linger with us well into early Monday morning, dumping several inches of rain across Central Florida with the potential for strong winds and some rotating storms. We begin the clearing trend tomorrow afternoon but we have an onslaught to battle through tonight.

A front is trying to sink southward across our area supported by a powerful jet stream and a pretty decent slug of cooler air just to the north of where the front is draped now. As we move through tonight into your Sunday, that front should start to kick on down towards the south. While doing so, we could see some heavier bouts of rain in some spots and potential stray strong storms.
A cold front is expected to move into Central Florida this weekend, increasing rain chances and bringing cloudy, windy conditions along with possible dense fog.
