A tornado warning alert was issued just after 2:30 p.m. in northwestern Flagler County, but expired just after 3 p.m. Shortly after, a severe thunderstorm warning was also issued for Orange, Osceola, Flagler, Lake, Seminole, Marion and Volusia counties.

Later Monday afternoon, flood advisories were issued for Marion, Orange, Seminole and Volusia counties as the storms rolled through.

Meanwhile, highs in Orlando will be near 90 degrees all week, with at least a 40 percent chance of rain.

"Rain chances will increase every day into the afternoon this week," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "Some storms will be strong, with strong wind gusts, lightning and heavy rain for the drive home."

Rain chances will increase to 70 percent on Tuesday as an area of low pressure rolls in from the Gulf, Bridges said.

Rain chances will be 50 percent for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
