Brevard fire lieutenant's home catches on fire, alerted by app on his phone

Everyone got out of building

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Crews were fighting a large house fire in Titusville Tuesday night.

The Brevard County Fire Rescue said investigators responded to a two-story house fire on the 4200 block of PondApple Drive.

The blaze was about a half mile west of Interstate 95 and one mile north of Dairy Road. 

Everyone is out of the house and no one was injured, according to the fire rescue.

Investigators said the home is owned by one of the lieutenants of the Brevard County Fire Rescue, he was alerted to the fire by the PulsePoint app on his phone. 

Brevard County Fire Rescue and the Titusville Fire Department is on scene.

There is no word at this time on what caused the fire.

It appears the house is a total loss.
