☃️If you think it’s been cold, you’d be right! 📆

ORLANDO, Fla. – So this winter we can’t completely make fun of our friends to the north for digging out from underneath mounds of snow. Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges here to break down our chill. At least we don’t have to shovel snow, but it has been really cold at times this winter and it hasn’t been this cold around these parts in a LONG time.

Frosty week turning into a warmer weekend ❄☃🧣😃

Hi friends! Meteorologist Troy Bridges here.

This week has been brutal for a lot of our friends to the north, as that Nor’easter swept through, even bringing us some frigid temperatures. Check out how much snow the Northeast racked up.

Many Central Floridians love this time of year because we are often basking in the warm Florida sun while the rest of the country deals with cold winter blasts.

Are you like me? Do you like sending warm and sunny beach selfies to your friends who live in northern states when big snowstorms hit?

Maybe you like to call them up and tell them how warm it is when they’re in the deep freeze. Lots of us do it. Who could blame us?

Here’s a meme I made that really makes my friends living in northern states mad. It’s fun to post and send. Feel free to send it to your friends. 😜🤣

It’s been chilly here in Central Florida over the past few days, even bringing us a few frosty mornings. Maybe it’s payback for all the teasing we’ve been doing.

If you’re like a lot of Central Floridians, you can only take a couple of cold days.

Hold tight. Here’s a look at the warm-up on the way and the rain chances in the weekend forecast.

Forecast Change: Coldest time of the year losing its cool 🤒

Hi there, Chief Meteorologist Tom Sorrells here with this week’s Forecasting Change. I want to take a look at what is usually the coldest time of the year, and how a changing climate is taking up a lot of that time.

How pinpoint accurate is Punxsutawney Phil? 🦔🌡️

Happy belated Groundhog Day, I’m meteorologist Candace Campos. We’ve heard of animals predicting outcomes of games like the Super bowl, but predicting the weather for the nation is left up to only one special furry rodent, Punxsutawney Phil.

But have you wondered if his forecasts are pinpoint accurate? Click here and see his track record during the past decade. Do you hope his prediction comes true and this cooler weather sticks around a bit longer? Let me know by messaging me here.

Speaking of animals predicting things... check out these manatees picking who will win this weekend’s Super Bowl!

Week in weather history: Two tornado outbreaks, two years, one month...February. 🌪️

Hey everyone, it’s Meteorologist Samara Cokinos here with you. February is here! We did the groundhog thing, now it’s time to talk about tornadoes. Wow, that escalated quickly, huh? Getting right down to business today.

I had an awesome cup of coffee that really jolted me with motivation today. Much like the motivation I had when I took my Christmas tree down....this past Tuesday. Yes, I know, but let’s talk about tornadic history in February in Central Florida now, and we’ll come back to the tree later. Maybe. Here’s the link.
