The NHC said dry air should prevent significant organization during the next few days, but environmental conditions could become more conducive for some development by the weekend as the wave moves west at 15-20 mph.
The wave has a 20% chance to develop tropical characteristics over the next seven days.
The next named storm will be called Emily.
