Storm impacts include damaging wind gusts between 40-50 mph with strong wind gusts possible, heavy rain leading to minor flooding and frequent lightning. The lowest threats include small hail and can’t rule out an isolated tornado.
Thunderstorms are expected to move in after 5 p.m. Sunday. Strong winds and pockets of heavy rain are likely ahead and along that cold front lasting into tonight.
That cold front is expected to exit the area after midnight, pulling in colder and drier air behind it. It’ll be a chilly start Monday morning with daytime highs climbing into the lower-to-middle 60s across the area.
