ORLANDO, Fla. – A Gulf low will impact the area with heavy rain, damaging winds and possible severe storms.
Impacts will be felt across the area beginning Saturday afternoon.

The primary threats include damaging winds and heavy rainfall leading to localized flooding.
The latest rainfall projections for the area Saturday through Sunday morning is up to 4 inches, with isolated higher totals possible. December is considered one of the driest months out of the year in Central Florida, with a normal value of rainfall totaling 1.09 inches in Orlando.
There is also a severe weather threat for the entire area. Northern counties are under a “marginal risk” and southern counties are under a “slight risk.”
Take note, in either scenario, a tornado or two will be possible given the amount of wind shear available in the atmosphere.
The winds will gradually increase through Saturday. The worst of the weather is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning.

All of Central Florida will have the potential for severe weather Saturday into Sunday.
Strong damaging winds are expected to fan out across the entire area during that time.
All outdoor decor and anything loose should be anchored securely or brought inside.
Marion, Sumter counties:
Lake, Orange, Seminole counties:
Osceola, Polk counties:
Flagler, Volusia, Brevard counties:
Coastal areas:
Dangerous boating conditions and high rip currents; beach erosion expected.
Regardless of the placement of this storm, large breaking waves and dangerous surf will lead to coastal flooding and minor beach erosion through the weekend.
