Changes in the weather approach Sunday due to two frontal boundaries. A warm front arrives early Sunday around sunrise, increasing rain chances to 90%. Pockets of heavy rain are possible which may lead to localized flooding, especially near low-lying areas.
Models show that there will be a break from the rain around lunch before a cold front arrives during the afternoon after 2 p.m.
Scattered rain and storms are possible with a few storms becoming strong, possibly severe.
There is a Marginal Risk in place for Central Florida.
Storm threats include: Strong gusty winds between 45-55+ mph, heavy rainfall at times, small hail and the possibility for a tornado or two.
Sunday night, the rain is expected to clear out and cooler air begins to move in behind that cold front.
