Chilly morning gives way to nice day as warmup begins. Here’s how hot will it get this week

Orlando to near 90 degrees over weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – High pressure over the southeast portion of the country will dominate the weather across Central Florida Tuesday afternoon, keeping the area mostly dry over the next several days.

With a steady onshore breeze, temperatures will begin the warming trend starting Tuesday afternoon, with highs remaining near normal -- in the mid- to upper 70s -- and lows in the mid- to upper 50s.

Through the rest of the week, sea breeze formation will develop some cloud cover through the afternoon with a slight 10% chance of a pop-up shower.

Highs will begin entering the low 80s starting Wednesday and continue to climb into the upper 80s by the weekend.

Saint Patrick’s Day looks to be the warmest day of the week, with highs near 90 degrees.

Long-range models show a front weakening as it approaches Central Florida by Monday night into Tuesday. Ahead of of the front, moisture will surge, with rain coverage increasing to 40-50%.
