Cooler air, breezy weather head into Central Florida. Here’s when things begin to heat up

Rain-free warming trend begins early next week

ORLANDO, Fla. – A great weather outlook is in the forecast for all of Central Florida for your weekend as several fronts pass through, reinforcing the dry and cooler conditions for a few days.

Highs through Sunday are expected to run below average in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees, with lows dipping into the 40s and 50s.

The breeze will weaken slightly from Thursday with winds remaining out of the WNW between 10-15mph and gusts up to 20mph.

The stretch of dry and breezy weather continues to keep Central Florida under a heightened fire sensitivity through the weekend as dewpoints remain low in the 20s and 30s.

Looking ahead at the forecast for viewing the solar eclipse on Monday afternoon, the weather is forecast to cooperate for decent viewing. Partly cloudy skies (20-30% cloud cover) are anticipated from 1 p.m. 4 p.m.

Although Central Florida remains out of the path of totality, most of the area could see up to 65% coverage of the sun by 3 p.m. If you plan on participating during this phenomenon, make sure you have the protective eyewear.
