ORLANDO, Fla. – A large dome of high pressure will keep a firm grip across the Southeast for most of the week as we move into May.
Winds will weaken a bit in Central Florida on Monday, with a few gusts up to 15-20 mph still possible into the afternoon. Along the onshore breeze, an isolated sprinkle could be possible at the coast, but most of the area remains dry.

A little bit of extra moisture will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing the best chance of rain, with coverage at 20-30% during the peak heating of the day.
While any rain at this point is very much welcomed, it will not be enough to make a dent into the rainfall deficit we are experiencing this April.
With limited clouds and not much rain in sight, highs this week are expected to climb to near 90 and stay there into the weekend.
