ORLANDO, Fla. – A weak cool front will continue to drop south of Central Florida through Wednesday afternoon, filtering in much drier air for the next several days.

With the lack of rain and clouds, afternoon temperatures in the Orlando area are expected to climb well above average into the mid- to upper 90s.

The sites with the best shot for breaking records will be Leesburg and Sanford, which have the lowest current record for Wednesday -- 98 degrees, set in 2000 and 2004, respectively.

Dry air remains in place for the remainder of the workweek, limiting rain and cloud coverage.

Highs will stay in the mid- to upper 90s through Thursday.

Some moisture will seep back in by Friday and into the weekend, with models showing a 30-40% coverage of rain.

The addition of clouds and more rain should keep highs in the upper 80s.
