ORLANDO, Fla. – It’s going to be another scorcher of a day across all of Central Florida as temperatures soar above-average with dangerous “feels like” temperatures.
FRIDAY:
Heat advisories will be in effect for all counties Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with heat indices exceeding 108 degrees for several hours.
By the afternoon, summer storms are expected to develop along the western half of the area with a gradual track toward the east coast into the evening. Latest models show the collision of sea breezes late afternoon and into the night east of I-4 toward I-95. Storm chances remain slightly below our summer average, at 40-50%.
WEEKEND-NEXT WEEK:
Additional moisture, tied with a stronger sea breeze collision will fuel the threat for more rain and storms in the afternoon.
Saturday expect coverage at 50% and Sunday with 60%.
Temperatures remain consistently in the mid 90s with feels like temperatures running below 108.
Heat advisories could be issued for the weekend.
