ORLANDO, Fla. – Another day, another round of heat and storms for most Central Floridians as the wet weather pattern continues.

Warm temperatures will again rise into the low 90s today, feeling like the triple digits. The east and west coast sea breezes developed, creating another active afternoon for Central Florida.

Showers fell after noon, affecting coastal communities, with the threat pushing inland toward I-4 and I-75 through the afternoon. The forecast calls for rain coverage of 60-70%.

This pattern will continue for the next several days, with rain and storm chances peaking from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Highs will remain where they should be for this time of year.

This stormy setup is expected to continue throughout the rest of the week and into the weekend.

Tropics update:

We’re currently monitoring three areas in the tropics, though none pose a significant concern for Florida at this time.

One area across the central Caribbean has a 30% chance of development within the next seven days. Another area in the central tropical Atlantic has a 10% chance of development, while a third wave off the coast of Africa, also shows a 30% chance of development over the same period.

Despite these low chances, they are still worth watching.
