Heavy rain could lead to flooding in some Central Florida areas. Here’s your forecast

Some areas could see 1-3 inches of rainfall

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is experiencing light showers due to a stalled front over the region. Expect cloudy and breezy conditions throughout the day with on-and-off rain through the afternoon.

There is a marginal risk for flooding for all counties in Central Florida, excluding Brevard County. Some areas could get between 1-3+ inches of rainfall.

Temperatures will be hot and humid, reaching 94 degrees in Orlando, 93 in Clermont, and 93 in The Villages.

Coastal areas, such as Daytona Beach and Cape Canaveral, will be in the 80s, while Cocoa Beach and Melbourne will also see temperatures in the lower 90s.

When factoring in the moisture and humidity, heat indices will feel like the triple digits. Expect it to feel like 102-108° across Central Florida.

Expect rain and storm chances to increase this afternoon. After 2 p.m., the sea breeze will bring more scattered heavy rain from Volusia County to Brevard County. Scattered heavy rain will continue through the sunset hour.
