ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida can expect a mostly dry start to Sunday with mild and muggy conditions.

Humidity levels are high and will put feels-like temperatures in the lower 100s. Afternoon actual highs are expected to rise into the lower 90s inland and upper 80s along the coast.
As the day progresses, rain chances significantly increase to between 60% and 80% across the region.

Residents should be prepared for the possibility of strong thunderstorms, gusty winds of up to 40 mph, and localized flooding, particularly in areas receiving 2 to 4 inches of rain.
The rain is expected to start as isolated showers in the late morning, reaching peak intensity in the afternoon and early evening. By 2 p.m., temperatures will hit 91 degrees, with a 60% chance of rain.
Tropical weather update
The National Hurricane Center has identified a low-pressure area in the Bay of Campeche with a high chance of tropical development over the next two to seven days. This system is forecasted to bring heavy rains to coastal Texas and Louisiana by mid-week, although it is not expected to impact Central Florida directly.
Two other tropical waves being watched by the Pinpoint Weather team have a have medium chance for tropical development in the next several days.
