ORLANDO, Fla. – A few afternoon storms cannot be ruled out, favoring more of our eastern communities from I-4 toward the beaches.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will primarily affect areas from Orlando southward due to a stationary boundary sagging across central Florida.
Tuesday’s rain chances remain at 50% with highs nearing 90 degrees.
Outlook
A notable shift will occur early next week, as drier air funnels into Central Florida. Because of this, rain chances will drop off quickly by Monday, which coincides with the first full day of fall.
Until then, expect summer-like conditions with rain chances between 40% to 50%.
Tropics
Currently, we are monitoring one area in the tropics, which is Tropical Depression Gordon located in the middle of the Atlantic.
Gordon is expected to remain a depression for the next few days, with a possibility of restrengthening into a tropical storm by early this weekend. Fortunately, there is no immediate concern for any land area.
