‘Feels like’ temps ramp up, tropical moisture lingers in Central Florida after Helene. How does the weekend look?

Tropical moisture lingers Friday

ORLANDO, Fla. – As Helene continues to pull further away from Central Florida, conditions will improve through Friday afternoon and into the weekend.

Temperatures:

With deep moisture lingering, high humidity levels are expected across Central Florida.

Combined with temperatures in the low 90s, the heat inidices will reach 102-107 degrees. Brevard County could be the hottest spot on Friday, which is why a heat advisory is in effect 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

Rain:

Deep tropical moisture will remain over the local area though the weekend, keeping scattered showers in the forecast each afternoon. Rain and storm coverage sits at 30-40% with a few pockets of heavier rain possible.

Winds:

Winds will remain breezy to windy at times with winds between 15-20 mph and gusts up to 35 mph.

For this reason, a wind advisory is in effect for Seminole, Orange, Volusia, Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Lake counties through 11 a.m. Friday.
