ORLANDO, Fla. – This weekend, Florida will deal with heat and relatively low chances of rain before tropical moisture funnels across the region beginning on Sunday.
Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds with isolated showers possible throughout Friday, especially in the afternoon. Afternoon highs warming into the lower 90s.
Along the coast, residents should remain cautious due to a high rip current risk.
This is linked to Hurricane Kirk, which, while not a direct threat, are influencing coastal conditions.
Meanwhile, the National Hurricane Center has placed a 50% chance of tropical development this weekend and early next week.
Long-range models do show a broad low pressure trying to organize but it’s expected to be a weak system. If it gets a name, Milton is next on the list.
