ORLANDO, Fla. – After a stretch of warm weather, Central Florida will experience its first real fall cold front, set to arrive late Tuesday night into early Wednesday.
This front will usher in cooler temperatures, dropping day-time highs to the 70s starting on Wednesday.
By Thursday morning, residents can expect overnight lows in the 50s across a significant portion of Central Florida.
Some areas of Marion County, may even see temperatures dip into the 40s. However, coastal regions will remain milder with lows in the 60s.
The arrival of the cold front will also bring breezy to windy conditions that are expected to persist through the weekend.
Despite the winds, temperatures will moderate back to the low 80s, offering a pleasant weather outlook for weekend activities.
The timing of this front is right on schedule, as Central Florida tends to see the first punch of cool air arrive by mid October.
In the wake of the front, expect breezy to windy conditions to linger into the weekend making it less than ideal beach or boating weather over the next several days
Tropics:
We are monitoring two areas in the tropics this week.
One system, located in the middle of the tropical Atlantic, holds a moderate chance for development. However, it is expected to face multiple obstacles over the coming days, with no significant intensification expected.
Another potential system in the Caribbean is being observed with a low chance for development. As of now, there are no significant tropical threats, but we will continue to watch these areas closely.
