According to the NHC, the area of low pressure could develop in the next few days and a tropical depression could form later this week or over the weekend while moving north.
It has a 40% chance of development in the next seven days.
Computer models long range remain in disagreement of where this area will go and how strong it will get.
This isn’t a rare spot to see development this late in the season, but it is a good reminder that hurricane season continues through Nov. 30.
