Humid, breezy then cooler air by week’s end in Central Florida

Two cold fronts on the way

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is in for another warm day, with afternoon highs reaching 85 degrees in Orlando. Normally, temperatures are in the upper 70s to low 80s.

With the humidity, it will feel a bit warmer than the actual temperature. Winds will be coming from the east-southeast at 5-15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph.

These gusty winds could bring a few spotty showers through the day. A high rip current risk remains in effect through Monday night due to the strong winds.

Sunday's forecast

For Veterans Day, expect warm weather with highs in the mid to upper 80s and a 20% chance of isolated showers. A couple of fronts will move through Florida this week.

The first one is expected Tuesday, bringing stronger winds and slightly cooler, drier air. Highs will drop to the low 80s by Wednesday, with overnight lows in the upper 60s.

Another cold front will pass through on Friday, reinforcing cooler and drier conditions for next weekend, with highs in the low 80s and morning temperatures possibly dipping into the low 60s. This will give Central Florida a taste of fall weather.

Morning lows

In the tropics, Tropical Storm Rafael is weakening and is expected to become a remnant low by Tuesday, though it could bring more moisture to Louisiana early this week.

Meanwhile, Invest 98L, a small tropical wave near the Bahamas, has a very low chance of developing into a tropical system over the next two to seven days, but it could bring increased moisture to South Florida.
