ORLANDO, Fla. – A cold front is finally making its trek across Central Florida, ushering in near normal temperatures for November! A few scattered showers will be possible along the front, but much drier air will follow as the front clears.
Friday:
It’ll stay breezy through Friday afternoon, especially by the coast. As the cooler air moves settles in, expect daytime highs to stay in the low 80s south of Orlando and mid to upper 70s further north.
By Friday night, the winds will calm down a bit, and temperatures will dip into the mid-to-upper 50s inland, but along and east of I-95, lows will stay in the low to mid-60s.
Weekend:
High pressure moves in over the weekend, keeping the comfortable and dry weather around. Expect mild daytime highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, and cool nights in the mid-to-upper 50s.
Due to the strong breeze in place, a coastal flood advisory is in effect through Saturday evening and possibly extended into Sunday. The highest threat for flooding will come during high tides.
The highest tide will be Saturday morning around 7-8 a.m.
Next Week:
Looking ahead, all eyes remain on Tropical Storm Sara as moisture associated with it could be playing a role in our local forecast by Wednesday.
The latest models show it moving toward the Yucatan Peninsula late this weekend, but it’s unclear how strong it will be or how long it will stay over the Gulf of Mexico before getting picked up by a cold front.
While it’s still too early to tell if we’ll see any impacts here in central Florida, expect a higher chance of rain (50-60%) mid-week.
The same front that will deliver tropical moisture on Wednesday, will then clear Central Florida by Thursday. Much cooler air returns with a lovely stretch of 70s into next weekend.
