Enjoy! Florida basks in mild stretch of spring weather

Weekend forecast in Orlando area looks great

ORLANDO, Fla. – Another great-looking day is ahead across Central Florida under mostly sunny skies.

Rain chances will stick around at 20–30% along the coast, with a few showers moving further inland through the day.

Winds will shift more to the northeast at around 10-15 mph, though if you’re right on the beach, you could see occasional gusts a bit stronger than that.

Thursday’s highs will be right around where they should be for this time of year — upper 70s to low 80s — with overnight lows dipping into the mid-50s to low 60s.

The persistent northeast breeze is also kicking up the surf and making conditions a bit rough out there. We’re talking breaking waves around 5 feet and a high risk of rip currents along all east Central Florida beaches.

Our next shift in the weather pattern comes late Friday and into early Saturday morning as, what could be, our last front of the season moves over the area. Model trends continue to keep rain chances low with a few showers in near-shore waters.

Once that front clears, drier and cooler air will settle in. Expect temperatures to remain in the mid- to upper 70s Saturday and Sunday.

Overnight lows hang out in the 50s, but some inland areas could briefly dip into the upper 40s by Saturday night.

High pressure sticks around through early next week, pushing highs back into the upper 80s to even low 90s.

Enjoy this mild spring stretch, before summerlike days return before you know it!
