ORLANDO, FL. – A cold front is making its way through Central Florida today, bringing a noticeable shift in the weather. Northwest winds will strengthen throughout the day, blowing at 10–15 mph with gusts reaching up to 25 mph. While no rain is expected, temperatures will remain comfortable, hovering in the mid to upper 70s.

However, the combination of warm temps, low humidity, and breezy conditions means fire danger is elevated. A Fire Weather Watch will be in effect from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Lake, Orange, Volusia, Seminole, Osceola, and Brevard counties, where critical fire weather conditions could develop.

Tonight, cooler air continues to settle in behind the front. Expect overnight lows to dip into the upper 40s north and west of I-4, with low to mid-50s elsewhere.

Sunday will start off on the chilly side but warm up nicely, with afternoon highs reaching the low 80s. Looking ahead to the work week, a ridge of high pressure will take over, bringing a stretch of warm, dry weather. By Monday, highs are expected to climb into the upper 80s.
