As we continue counting down to this years hurricane season, the biggest brains in tropical meteorology will all be gathering in New Orleans for the 20th anniversary since Hurricane Katrina made landfall in 2005.
The National Hurricane Conference begins tomorrow morning, which is a four-day event catered towards all things hurricane season!
There will be workshops, seminars, emergency management trainings, and general meteorology courses held back-to-back at the conference center which will be hosted at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel.

Folks such as Dr. Phil Klotzbach, of Colorado State University will be in attendance helping us further understand the pre-season forecast process for every tropical Atlantic season.
Kevin Guthrie, the Executive Director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management will also be in-house discussing preparations you and your family should be making ahead of the storm.
We will also have open talks with National Hurricane Center to discuss a few of the changes they intend to make to their warning and forecast process this 2025 hurricane season.
