Up next is “Dick Van Dyke: 98 Years of Magic” on Dec. 21, which will see performers celebrating the life and career of the famous actor.
Three CBS original holiday movies will then hit the airwaves between Dec. 22 and Dec. 29:
- FIT FOR CHRISTMAS — A Christmas-obsessed fitness instructor falls for a mysterious businessman, complicating his plans to turn her community center into a resort.
- WHEN CHRISTMAS WAS YOUNG — A headstrong music manager in desperate need of a hit song finds himself falling for a singer-songwriter with abandoned dreams of making it big.
- MUST LOVE CHRISTMAS — A renowned romance novelist (Liza Lapira of The Equalizer) unexpectedly becomes involved in a love triangle with her childhood crush and a reporter.
The 25th Annual “A Home For the Holidays” is scheduled for Dec. 22. The description for this television extravaganza is as follows:
One set of lyrics says it best: There’s no place like home for the holidays. And once again this year, CBS has the uplifting stories to prove it. An annual celebration of one of life’s most important social issues — the adoption of foster-care children — The 25th annual A Home For the Holidays is an emotional celebrity-filled entertainment special honoring all those involved in the adoption process. Look for stories of recent adoptees and their new families, and then settle back as musical headliners salute these happy changing lives.
On Christmas morning, News 6 will celebrate the holiday with “Sounds of the Season” to showcase holiday songs performed by middle and high school students across Central Florida.
Fans of musician Mariah Carey will get a special treat on Christmas Day as she hosts a two-hour primetime special at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
This concert special features Carey’s biggest holiday hits, including her renowned “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Following Christmas, country music’s hottest superstars will return to celebrate on Dec. 31 for “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.”
The five-hour celebration is set to feature nearly 50 high-energy performances from locations across Nashville, including the mainstage at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.
