ORLANDO, Fla. – The show must go on! The U.S. tour of the Broadway show, ”Moulin Rouge! The Musical” is heading to Orlando next week.

Based on the movie with the same name that came out in 2001, the show takes place in the early 1900s and follows bohemian writer, Christian. He visits the Moulin Rouge nightclub in Paris and falls in love with the club’s cabaret star, Satine.

Just like the film, the musical’s score includes original songs and popular music, including songs that have been released since the film came out.

The musical first premiered in 2018 in Boston, before opening up on Broadway a year later.

During the 74th Tony Awards in 2021, the musical won 10 awards, which was the most awards of the night, including Best Musical.

Ten pieces will be chosen to be displayed in the gallery at the Performing Arts Center during the two-week period the show runs. The 10 chosen artists will get a prize, with first and second place winners getting free tickets.
