Last week, U.S. News released its list of the “15 best jobs you’ve never heard of,” which are high-paying positions that are relatively unknown to many.
The list includes positions in the medical, construction and business sectors, as well as their median salaries and expected job growth.
At the top of the list was the occupation of actuary, which is a job that involves assessing risk for insurance companies.
U.S. News says that the role has a median salary of nearly $114,000, and the position also ranks as No. 3 for the best business jobs.
Below that are genetic counselors (someone who at No. 2 and operations research analysts at No. 3.
