How a Central Florida businessman nurtures entrepreneurs

Damien Bromfield guests on Breakfast with Bridgett

On Breakfast with Bridgett Monday we got a recap of Jonathan Kegges’ amazing flight at the Orlando Air Show on the legendary B-25 bomber named ‘Panchito.’ And we heard about the battle story of its most famous flight during the Doolittle Raid in World War II.

Then Bridgett talked about what goes into mentoring aspiring business owners with Damien Bromfield, owner of Rogue Works Home Services. It’s something he’s passionate about because he noticed a need as he was building his own businesses.

“My experience was that of where I wanted to get some help. I was looking for mentorship and I realized how hard, how difficult it was to find good mentorship. A lot of times you have people who gatekeep a lot of information and they think they can’t share their experiences. This is where I’ve had my series of successes and failures. I’ve learned a lot in the course of time where we’ve kind of honed it in at this point and I wanted to be able to give back and share some of that,” Bromfield said.

Bromfield has been doing talks at schools and working to inspire entrepreneurship by reaching out to community groups.

“Actually one organization I’ve come to know pretty well, it’s called CLIC: Community Life Improvement Center. They focus not just on kids, but minorities, low-income individuals, women, anyone in a socially challenged position. Over the course of the summer, I’m going to be talking to several of their groups about business ownership and some of the challenges involved with it, but also some of the resources that are available,” he said.

Coming up tomorrow on Breakfast with Bridgett, a specialist with join the conversation about infertility.

It’s something new, every weekday at 7:30 a.m. on the NEWS 6 PLUS STREAMING APP or on ClickOrlando.com.
