On Monday, Family Destination Guides released its list of 10 “middle-of-nowhere” shops in Florida that are worth the trip.

These general stores are “tucked away in the nooks and crannies of the Sunshine State,” making them relatively obscure for most, according to the list.

“These stores are scattered like hidden treasures across the state, waiting for the curious traveler to discover the stories, snacks and sundries that define the local way of life,” the website reads.

The list goes as follows:

1. Richloam General Store — Webster

“Tucked away in the serene landscape of Webster, the Richloam General Store is a portal to the past, where the wooden floors creak with history and each shelf is a testament to simplicity.

Established in the 1920s, this place has seen the ebb and flow of time but remains steadfast, offering everything from nostalgic candies to hunting licenses.

The scent of old pine and the sight of antique goods create a sense of nostalgia so palpable you’ll half expect a shopkeeper from the past century to emerge from the back room.”
